Course Reviews

Recently, I completed the Shell Sessions training by Jarno. In the past, I have taken a CEH training, which was informative, but this course clearly differentiates itself through its strong hands-on focus. Instead of only covering concepts at a high level, you actively execute each phase yourself, which provides a much deeper understanding of the techniques involved. I have followed Jarno for years through his technical articles and videos and have always been impressed by the depth of his knowledge. After working closely with him for four intensive days, this impression was fully confirmed. Jarno demonstrates extensive practical expertise and is able to translate complex theory into clear, real-world applications. The training strikes an excellent balance between foundational concepts and practical execution, making the material directly applicable in real environments. Overall, this is a high-quality, technically solid training for professionals who want to deepen their practical skills in this domain. I can strongly recommend this training.

Shell Sessions is a hands-on pentesting course focused on real-world offensive security skills. The labs are practical, realistic, and designed to build and understand the true attacker mindset. Jarno explains complex techniques clearly while encouraging independent thinking. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore and develop practical pentesting skills.

5/5, I would highly recommend this training to cybersecurity professionals that can use (hands-on) knowledge about how a “hack” is executed. The training is suitable for a broad range of people, from entry level to more experienced cybersecurity professionals wanting to hone their skills, granted that it will be a tough week for the entry levels. Jarno is enthousiastic, experienced and has a lot of knowledge about offensive security and will guide the group through the training. This training helped me gain a better understanding about how hackers can infiltrate a system from the outside and how they will (try to) move around once they gained initial access. Personally I will use what I learned during this training to help my clients have a better understanding about how their systems may be breached and use it as a stepping stone to further my offensive security capabilities.
